Nice and backlit, but what is the purpose of the LCD screen outside of gaming?

the picture on logitech's site shows the screen displaying different kinds of ammo and the amounts left with each.

personally i think that's more of gimmick.. i would never use it.

Yes, you can have the lcd display RSS feeds. Here are a couple websites that have programs you can run to do so.
