Hi

I'm new to this forum, so please do not hesitate to give a link to any related previous discussion.

I beleive I'm getting quite a lot of login/password pairs to all kinds of stuff and as of now I'm storing them in a separate text file. Having read security nightmare articles I would rather buy a piece of software that stores passwords encrypted - can someone possibly recommend a title? I would go after robust operation, reliability and good support.

Thanks in advance,
Peace!

Why dont you just write them down on paper....no one can hack that.

But..if for some reason you dont want to...

theres a site here, http://www.iopus.com/guides/efs.htm, that explains how to do windows encryption.

If you dont trust that, or would like extra security....try...

http://axcrypt.sourceforge.net/

i havnt tried that, i just googled it so i duno if its actually free or not.

good luck, but as i said...just use paper!

PS: I'm not 100% sure i understood what you meant by that post. I hope i understood you, sorry if i didn't.

one of the best ways. just dont lose it.

if you have a portable unit with u, like a pda that has pw protection on individual files, put it on that.

you could store the password in your e-mail account in drafts.to be on the safe side use short forms that only u can decipher.:D

I still think the safest way is to put it down on paper, next safest would be some sort of PDA.
