Recommendations for a Web Designer

I need to build a new computer and was hoping that you guys could help me figure out what components to get. My computer is used mostly for graphic design, web development, and homework. I don't do any gaming on my computer, so I probably won't need the top of the line video cards, etc. I'd like to stay in the $500 to $600 range (not including the OS and Monitor). Mainly I want something that is going to be fast, multi task well, and be reliable. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Wow oscaryu1, that's great! Any recommendations on a case? Just out of curiosity why would you opt for an Intel chip over an AMD? Thanks.

Thanks :D

Case recommendations:

Budget - Centurion 5, Blackfin III, Ultra Wizard

Airflow & Performance - Antec P180, P182, Antec 900

Intel currently has the edge over performance with prices. Intel can also overclock pretty far, like the E4300 from 1.8 to 3+ GHz, which is an big jump.

Get him a sata hdd, since those ide freaking suck

True, but he's not using it for gaming. You'd probably only notice SATAII vs ATA100 when your playing reaaalllly HDD calling games... like the loading of BF2.

Still, nice call. Changed HDD to an Samsung, with SATAII. It's an lower price too. Just subract around $6 off of the total costs.
