......greetings, just a quick question.....i have a few mp3's that "ran" into the next song...... i need to "cut off" the end to make the song complete...

....i would like recommendations for the most SIMPLEST "cutter" program available to do the job...any suggestions?....thanks!

The simplest way I can think of doing it would be to download Audacity, it's probably the best free audio editing program. Highlight the song segment you want to save, Edit>Trim, export the file. To save as mp3 you'll need to download lame_enc.dll, Audacity will prompt you for it.

Unfortunately I know of no way to have a program automatically trim the tracks for you, so I hope you don't have too many that have overrun. :)

...thanks for the reply!...i will check it out as long as there are not a lot of bells and whistles.....what does this program save as an "end result" of a "cutting?...a wave file?...if it is a wave, doesn't nero do the conversion to mp3 when burning to an audio cd?.....

....i only have about 6 songs to fix and i realize that the program does not do it automatically.....

......whoa!....i just looked at the program (link did not work).......way too many bells and whistles!.....any other recomendations?

It can save it as a wave file, or with the instructions i mentioned above an mp3. Nero should be able to deal with either, I only mentioned the mp3 instructions because I assumed you would want the format to be the same at the start and at the end. Audacity has many functions, but you don't have to use them, trimming an auido file is perhaps the easiest thing you can do. Exporting the end product is in the File menu.
