Hey,

I need your guys opinion/suggestions/experience on how to capture game play in HD.

So I was wondering which is better:

Hauppauge HD PVR : This thing not only looks awesome, but as I viewed solutions on how to record console game play, this was 70% of the peoples choice.

Here is the website: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html

COST: I found at Best Buy $249.99

There are several Video Capture Cards available. Costs, are illustrated in photo.

So I was just curious, how do others capture their game play in HD? Do you do it? How so? If not, which of these two options would you go for?

Thos haupage un its are nice but overpriced.

Get a Black Magic Intensity Pro. It captures very good quality. The best I have seen.

I like your choice:

But from the reviews i have read and seen, they haven't been good. Specifically on installation (software issues) and say the opposite on quality. Mind you I have no idea which product they were using (the Intensity Shuttle, Pro, or Extreme). I have also read that to run the PCI Express (Pro) it takes an intense computer. Using up a lot of resources.

Has anyone ever used any of these products? Either being Blackmagic Design (PVR or PCI Express), Hauppauge (PVR or PCI Express) or for that matter any other one?

I do like the price of the Blackmagic, but the reviews are turning me off it.
