recover my netbook HELP!

Hey guys so i bough a asus eee pc netbook, i put linux netbook remix on it for 2 months and now want to recover xp factory restore, the partition is corrupt but i have a recovery cd i want to put on USB memory pen (16 GB) but i need to make the usb bootable. question is, how?

(yes i dont mean how to boot from usb but how to make the usb BOOTABLE)

hey picky insert your usb drive, start the machine, then go into a command prompt, and follow
DISKPART
LISTDISK
SELECT DISK ( then into drive letter )
CREATE PARTION PRIMARY
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=FAT 32 QUICK
ASSIGN
this last step will assign a drive letter
then put it on your usb drive make sure your set in bios to boot from removable device
