Recovery Disk has stopped after wiping HDD

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a toshiba laptop and had an error which meant I had to use the recovery disks. After inserting the disk and booting from the DVD, it has been hanging at the Unpack and System/Win RE steps. It has got the part where is says the following:

Copying E:ZZimg\10147xsp.SWM to V:\HDDRevcovery\SWImg [1/7]

It has not done anything for ages.

Is there anything I can do at all?

Heres hoping :)
 
Check the cd to make sure its not scratched or damaged. Other than that, its possible you have bad memory or even a failing hard drive.
