Recovery software

So, basically my Acer tablet deleted all my files both on the tablet, and SD card.
I used 'Recuva' for the SD card, and it got everything back.
However, Recuva won't see my tablet as either a portable device, or external hdd, even though it's present in my computer as a portable device.
So, my question is, are there any programmes that you would recommend that will recover the data from my tablet? I've done a Google search and there doesn't seem to be many that deal with tablets. I thought I'd come here and see if any of you guys had used anything like this?

You don`t say what system your tablet runs on, but assuming it is android maybe this will help.

Sorry, yeah, it's running Android.
I tried the one that jamesd1981 suggested, but it still doesn't see my tablet as a portable device.
The one that tcb-com-frm-12 suggested is exclusively for Cd's/DVD's/Blu-Rays.
