it is rated M. The game is pretty good; I played the DOD:S free weekend thing and the mod version of Red Orchestra was infinitely better to me, now imagine what the retail version will be like after one year of dedicated development and with twice the size of a developer team than the team that developed the mod. The pre-purchase price of the game on steam is like 22.50, the regular price of the game on steam is 25 dollars and the price of the game in stores has a suggested MSRP of 30 bucks. The game should be coming out this march, hopefully in the first 2 weeks.
Its gonna be a great game and so far they have said that they have been selling enough pre-loads that you shouldnt have to worry about finding anyone to play with. So Id look at the trailer, read a couple of the interviews, look at the screen shots and visit the forum.
this is apparently what the official box art looks like:
I was a beta tester and I can tell you the game is absolutely amazing. I played the mod for 2 years and this game blows the mod out of the water. Id check out the main site, they are starting to let beta testers post their screenshots that they took in game.
This game is more gameplay oriented than graphics oriented. I mean the Unreal 2.5 engine is starting to show its age, but for the tech they're using the graphics are damn good. Im sure once they go to the UE3 (if they make RO for that) you wont need to be worried about complaining about graphics.
check out that website, 70+ pictures taken from the beta. If the textures look blurry its because the HDR isnt working correctly now, hopefully they will fix that.
also check out this video, 5+ minutes of raw gameplay:
