hope you can help me, and I better state that im not very good with a pc, but on varios sites I visit, I get a small square at the top of the page or where a picture should be with the colured shapes, as mentioned, I also get these when I open up some sites but gradually the picture/smiley appears.
Its so frustarting heeeellllp

Ive had this for a while and had advice from "experts" but that doesnt seem to help:confused: :confused:
 
if you use Internet Explorer go to Options and under the advanced tab find the multimeda section and ensure that all box's are ticked.

well, is the red square green circle blue triangle broken or is it complete. If it is complete, it emans that internet explorer is busy loading the images. If it is broken then the either something is blocking images on your PC or the server your getting it from has a lot of errors.

Can you take a screnshot of a page where they do not load so we can see whats happening.

This could also mean that the file directory that contains the picture at the server side of the website has been moved/deleted and the website owner hasn't actually updated the link that points to the relevant picture. I believe about 8/10 times this would be the case. Otherwise, your firewall/browser settings could do with adjusting...
 
yea same thing happened to me ages ago but i forgot what it was... try using mozilla firefox its alot safer then internet explorer

Hi if you mean complete, the shapes are set within a complete square, now as for whether I can take a screen shot I dont know(dont know what one is, :o :o )

as for explorer being busy, sounds possible, however, when I enter a site, pop ups and smillys etc sometimes take a few seconds to load and the square is visiable until it appears, but certain items never appear, such as videos and the like, and I cant download Macromedia flash player because most of the download page isnt visible because all I can see are the dammed squares:mad: its so annoying.

But thank you all for the help and advise, any more thoughts.

as for the screenshot. go to a page that is doing this problem, then lok at your keyboard, there will be a button that says something along the lines of "Prnt Scrn" or "Print Scn", press it once, then go to somewhere like MS Paint and go to EDIT - PASTE, theres an image of our screen, save it and upload it on www.imageshack.us and then post the picture here.

is true to say that mozilla will is less rpone to infection/attack, but it isnt "safer", its just targeted a lot less by hackers etc..
