Reflash the bios

I got this card off ebay and may who bought the same card are saying this card is a 7300gs that has had the bios reflashed to read as a 7600gt.

Is it possible to reflash the bios of a 7300gs graphics card so it reads a 7600gt, when using diagnostic software like Everest?

That wouldnt work, the only thing I can think of is they hacked the BIOS and changed the name to the 7600GT. If they tried flashing the BIOS, the card probably wouldnt boot because they are entirely different.

I would run a few benchmark tests, because if you get abnormally low scores, then you may want to look into it deeper.
