my uncle gave me his computer and it has windows me i want to reformat the hardrive and put xp on it can anybody give me a walkthrough on how to do that

Just make sure you have the Windows XP disc and serial.
Make sure that your Optical Drive (CD/DVD) is set to boot first. You can configure this in your bios. Usually by pressing the "del/delete" button when booting.
