hello everyone.
first i want to say this is a great forum. lots of helpfull info.

here is my problem.
trying to reformat my hard drives. they are 120 gig each and running in raid. they were set up as one 240 gig drive. I have all necessary boot up discs and etc. my problem is that after everything is almost done booting up, the system does not see them for reformating/deliting.
I've tried using boot up from recovery console and every other options that I read so far, such as boot up from disc and then press F6 and then insert floppy disc. I even made a boot up disc using nLite software and still no go.
Do I also need a boot up disc for my hard drive ? If I do, how do I find what brand they are ? I only have boot up disc for my motherboard. which is ASUS A8V deluxe.

I appreciate for any input

You need to boot to xp cd and press F6 at the very beginning of the install before files start to get copied. You need to install the raid driver so that the install can see the 2 drives and 1 single drive and be able to install the OS to it. You get the raid driver from the motherboard manufacturer's website.

thanks Jhon. I've tried to do just like you said, but still no luck.
I did get raid driver from the motherboard manufacturer's website, but it did not help.
is there any other tricks I can try?
