Refresh Rates over 60hz

Hey everyone, I'm brand new here. I'm having a very strange problem with all three monitors in my house. I originally thought it was only my monitor.

Anyway, it has to do with refresh rates. If I set my refresh rate to anything over 60hz, the display shakes, and it shakes pretty bad too. The same thing happens to my brother's monitor and my mom's monitor, in different rooms of the house. I'm thinking it's something to do with the power coming into the house, or some type of bad interference. Do you guys have any ideas why 60hz is the only rate that doesnt cause the screen to shake? And what interference should I look for besides cell phones, fans. etc.?

thanks for you help in advance

what kind of monitors are they? are they el cheapo ones? if thats the case then 60hz might be as high as theyll go, thats as high as mine will go at 1024x768.

Try enabling AGP and/or FSB spread spectrum in your computers bios to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference).

well guys, a few days after i posted the problem stopped. . . maybe it was some kind of interference coming from outside the house?? I am now set at 85 hz and it looks great, perfectly still. I will never find out what was causing it. thanks for the tips
