Refridgerated computer?

Is it viable to use a mini refridgerator to house a computer? If it is feasable, I would try to build the computer inside the refridgerator, using braces on the side walls to hold the components in, while using some sort of liquid cooling system (not water) stored in the freezer compartment to keep things as cold as possible. Like I said, the computer itself will be the case, and I'll have all the cable hook-ups on the side. I have the ability to run wires through the walls and connectors to the outside of the fridge to connect everything.

Most of the parts I think i'll need I have lying around, I just don't want to get halfway into this and find out it doesn't work.

I heard of a computer case being water tight, and said computer filled with fryer grease (the same stuff they make french fries with at McDonalds). Is there some sort of non-conductive coating I could use on the components on the computer?

Nope... water will condens on the parts, and that would short it im afraid.
easily fixed, just submerge it in oil, or something non-conductive

The cost would be very high as the fridge motor would be running all the time

I tried to find a forum search, but didn't see one. Must be blind or not loved enough here.

Cost is nothing, i'll take it to work. They can pay the bill :D

so, after i assemble everything, do I just dip it in something to coat it, or does it have to be submerged 100% of the time?

Simply the water vapor caused by condensation would land on some of the electronics and possibly fry something.

You can use De-ionized water but even that could make your computer a battery in itself

a bloke in germany built a pc inside a fishtank and filled it with cooking oil and it worked fine the only problem was after 2 or 3 months oil started coming out of the mouse

Now it would me a much more feasible option to build a computer with a water cooling system with the wc housed in the fridge and the computer somewhere else.

Store the reservoir in the freezer section with the case on the top shelf of the frig and you won't have to worry about a cpu overheating. You won't get it warm enough to function normally! :P You'll have the world's slowest cpu there. Of course you could run a long extension cord to Anartica. how long is the cord needed? the case is frozen in solid ice! Anyone need a battery operated thermal blanket for pc cases? :P

what about people with computer living in alaska? they wont need stuff like fans or water cooling huh :D

Antartica gets down far beloooooooww that... BBRRrrrr.... Try -200! !
who the heck mentioned antartica??? you were talking about a freezer... they dont go down to -200????
