registered/buffered RAM???

I read what it is in the sticky's... But why do some people say registered RAM won't work in home PC's? Is this true?

Just trying to get some knowledge from all of you...

Well

It's because the motherboard architecture do not support it. The registered RAM is intended for server use and bring no huge use to your average user.
Therefore not for you (unless you run a server).
