Registering 2fa authenticators

I have an account which allows a certain number of authenticator apps to be registered with it.

I have now reached the maximum numbe such apps allowed to be registered. I very much wish to register another authenticator app. Some apps I wish to keep registered but there are some apps that I can delete in order to register my new app. My problem is that in the account there is no way to distinguish between the apps already registered (not even the date of registration) so I cannot tell which apps I can delete.

Can anyone suggest how I can possibly distinguish between the apps and thus which apps I can delete ?

Thanks very much.

I don't really understand the angle.

If you don't use the authenticator for accounts then you'd lose nothing by deleting it. If you use the authenticator for accounts then you'd lose access by deleting it. Pretty cut and dry it feels like.

I have several 2fa authenticators registered with the same account. Some (but not all) I no longer use so could delete those okay. However some of the authenticators I do not want to delete as I need to continue using them.

My problem is how can I identify which authenticator is which, so that I can safely delete an authenticator I no longer need while not deleting an authenticator I need.

The account does not distinguish between the authenticators (there is not even a registration date for each of them).

Further to my problem described above, Is it possible to re-register a 2fa TOTP authenticator with an account after that authenticator has been deleted from the account ?

Or is that not possible because the secret key is only given once to a particular authenticator ?

You should be able to manage each individual account and the associated authenticators. There isn't going to be a service that aggregates these all for you.
