Registry Cleaners Do They Speed Your Computer Up or Not? I Always Assumed they did!

I've used PC Tools Registry Mechanic for the past 10 years and always assumed that it would improve the speed of your computer by getting rid of registry conflicts anytime I downloaded a new program or Windows did a new update. I was planning to write a short ebook on how to improve computer speed and getting a registry cleaner was one of my recommendations but apparently after doing some online research this may not be true.

What do you think? Will a registry cleaner get rid of registry conflicts that could slow your computer down? If not, is a registry cleaner a waste of money. Thanks for your input.

You're more likely to have it accidentally delete something. It makes no difference to the speed of your PC so you're better off just avoiding them.

And you really won't get any performance increase by using one. The only thing you can is use a temp file remover program such as Ccleaner or Temp File Cleaner.

It would clean up the registry, but a clean registry alone won't really gain any performance. It would just make it simpler to parse when looking for a key to edit. I would never purchase a registry cleaner.

The best thing to do is to remove any programs you aren't using, use msconfig to disable any apps you don't need launching on startup, and running disk cleanup and disk defragmenter.

Well honestly I also would never actually BUY registry cleaner program.
But I AM using one called "Eusing free registry cleaner" for YEARS and it is doing it's job so freaking great. It NEVER messed up my PC and I DID see a SMALL difference in my computer's working speed. It wasn't nothing special, but I did notice it.Probably because my computer is SUPER OLD so any kind of fix is noticable lol.

But yeah...I wouldn't actually PAY for such software since the free one I use does a great job.I even like it more than Ccleaner since Ccleaner has an ability to clean tons of other stuff which I do not want to clean.I need it only for the registry which is why I use only Eusing free registry cleaner which does just that and is designed ONLY for that. :P
But of course that does not mean that Ccleaner which can do MORE is bad.It all depends what you want/need to clean.
