What do you rate as a good registry cleaner??? (Either free or purchased).

I used to use 'RegSeeker' coz it is free and it was working fine for me for a while, but i used it on my mother in laws computer and it stuffed a whole bunch of stuff up so i had to system restore. then i used 'Reg Mechanic' and it has been working alright on my laptop but i just purchased a new desktop and i used it after installing all my goodies and it stuffs up IE and on Task manager i lose all names in the User Name column!!! did it twice and both times had to syst restore.
Im not confident with messing around or identiying if something is a vital part of the registry so i like to keep it simple and let the reg cleaner programs do their thing

What reg cleaner do you guys/gals recommend??!?!?!?!

I use CCleaner (Crap Cleaner), not a true registry cleaner but will root out the worst in the registry, cookies and remove index.dat files.

Toniarts Registry cleaner does a good, safe job but does not go as deep as some.

Both are free :D

I have always used WinASO and it has never gave me any issues. Plus, it has many other nice additions such as a registry defrag that helps out from time to time.

i have a program called TuneUp Utilities 2006 and it works pretty good. if you are able to get ahold of the full version there are a lot of goodies that you would use over and over again
