Reinstallign windows 7 ulimate 64bit

ok so windows media player as well as a bunch of other programs have been locking up and crashing repeatedly
if i just reinstall windows 7 again will it give me that same windows old folder and shit or will it just reinstall the basic drivers and keep everything where its at?

when i reinstalled it had that windows.old (i was messing with the partitions which was a bad thing xD) anyways it saved most of my programs but it won't let me delete the file of the leftover crap :/

haven't tried it but knowing windows it will ask you if you want to use the old folder.
