reinstalling windows 98

i am trying to install windows 98 i formatted the hard drive ran fixdisk and after i put in the cd key the computer gave me a error message it said cab file corrupt what does this mean and is there a way to fix it. :confused:
 
This is because your drive can't read the CD. I agree, clean the disc, and if that doesn't work, your drive may be dirty.
 
I had that error when I was installing XP on one of my builds, and I kept getting it until I swapped my hdd out of the build and put it in another PC and it worked fine after that!

But it's probably just the CD
