Reinstalling Windows to sell computer...

I have a PC I want to sell. I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate and deleted the old partitions. Is there anything I can do to make sure that it isn't recoverable if I sell the computer?

Do you mean you don't want your old files being recovered?

Sorry to say, but you'll have to reformat again if you want your files to be gone forever.

Either get killdisk and burn it to a CD-r and boot to the CD. It will wipe the drive, and then write over every block with random 1s and 0s about 7 times to make sure everything is gone.

Or you can install it in another computer and use Ccleaner to wipe it the same way, except its in windows.

Chances are your average buyer won`t even know how to recover data, never mind go out there way to get your`s.

But if it makes you more comfortable selling it, use, hd shredder, it comes as an iso you burn it to create a boot disc, then it will strip the drive completely even the sectors.
