Reliability. Seagate HDD failing?

Noticed this infographic article while looking for future drives. http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/175089-who-makes-the-most-reliable-hard-drives

My Seagate 3TB, manufactured in late 2013, has began to make a rattling noise when GTA V crashes (let me tell you this happens about 30 minutes into gameplay, now almost every time.)

I am now sorting through 130GB of misc. files other than my Steam folder in order to prep for it's inevitable failure.

I will run the SeaTools test later, but I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these drives if this thing holds out until Black Friday: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tGk73C

The WD blue drive you linked to has 64mb cache compared to the 32mb cache Hitachi drive. I don't recommend Hitachi drives, even though they are owned by WD now.

Well I guess that settles that issue. It's only a matter of $14 extra and I know that WD makes goods drives..
