Remnants of malware remain

Thanks for all your help yesterday, but I've since run Norton again and it found a bunch of Adware.iefeats files that seem to have been deleted OK but the strange thing is there are 2 Adware files that are said to be there and I just cant see them. They are:

c:\windows\Downloaded program files\HDPlugin1014.dll (Aware.GAIN)
c:\windows\Downloaded program files\SAHUninstall.exe (Aware.SAHAgent)

Even with all 'display' options switched on, I can't see these two files in the given folder.

Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks.

I should have added that I've run both AdAware and Ewido and neither of them find the two Adware files I've just mentioned. So could Norton be giving a false positive?

Just to be sure, download the killbox.
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip

Select "Delete on reboot".
In the "full path of file to delete" box, enter:

c:\windows\Downloaded program files\HDPlugin1014.dll

Hit the red button with the white cross.

If you're prompted to reboot, say no.

Do the same for this file.

c:\windows\Downloaded program files\SAHUninstall.exe

Then reboot and see if Norton still flags them.

KillBox couldnt find the files. Ran Norton and it found them again.

So, i decided to look at the folder using DOS and lo and behold there are the two files along with others that are hidden. Do you think its safe to delete these two files through DOS?

if they appear again do the same as before but turn system restore off first(dont forget to turn it back on after you finish
