I live in Europe and my family lives in the U.S. For the last couple of years, we have used Live Messenger's remote desktop capabilities so that I can help fix whatever pc problems my family has. They recently switched to Verizon Fios and ever since then, I cannot connect to their desktop. I am assuming it has to do with ports not being open in their new router.
Now, my questions:
Now, my questions:
- Anyone know how to change their router so I can connect to them?
- If I use VNC instead of Live Messenger, will I still have the same problem connecting?
- If I use the free version of VNC, does my family need to have VNC installed also, or can it be done through the Java viewer of VNC?
