Remote power and reset multifunction bay

Right, i need some help if you will. Following the thread about the case mod which was excellent, i thought i needed a remote multifunction bay.

The logisys FP800SL in silver is just what i want but is currently only retailed in the US. I am in the UK. So, does anyone here know of a site that operates in the US but will ship to the UK.

I have found it on nearly every single US PC site but never on any UK site, which is quite annoying seeing as it is a wonderful piece of kit.

I have emailed logisys to ask if there UK based company will sell OEM direct to me but no reply yet.

hey dragon, ask one of the respected members to buy it for you, you pay via paypal, then get the to ship it. i cant find it on any UK websites, so that is the only way ic an think of doing it

Yeh, i suppose that would work, by repected, who do you have in mind, people like praetor or Ian perhaps. Still, i dont think they would really be inclined to do that for me and whats more, i dont know them at all, they couild be some hobo who posts from an internet cafe.
 
hi, that link doesnt work, are you sure it has the remote power capabilities that i want, can you give me the name of the ones you found.
 
hey, sorry forgot u wanted a remote one, nah these dont have that. still nice tho might go for one myself :p
 
yeh, ive always been thinking of getting a normal fan crontroller but when i saw them with integrated remote functions, i just had to have one of those. But they arent sold on the UK (or not to my knowledge anyway).

Any ideas on car ones yet??

And flame, who do you recommend as a trusted member.

there you go dragon, they ship internationlly too but you need to register to calculate a shipping cost, they prefer paypal as there payment mehtod for international orders

p.s. go to lycos.co.uk and search 'FP800SL' make sure the uk only search option is selected. There is lots of choice and even though they are american sites they must ship to the UK to be included in the UK only results (i think)

wow, thanks mike, thats helped quite a bit. Especially the eBay seller. Not too sure about the frozenCPU one though, ordering from US, might get blocked at customs etc.... not worht the hassle.

Thanks again, keep em coming guys, if you spot it anywhere, and has anyone found a car starter remote one that can be modded to fit on the pc.
 
hmm, if you pay by paypal and the cost is in USD, what happens, does it take the GBP equivalent out of your account or what. That is quite a good option though.
 
yes, at the current exchange rate dragon. It should tell you how much sterlin your parting with at the time if I remember correctly.

besides that the exchange rate is pretty good on the dollar ATM
 
yes, thats why im thinking its a good way to go. How long do you reckon it will take to get some people in the UK selling them, i know of one, but hes only got black ones and i need a silver one.

I shall think about it over the next few hours and come to a descision, keep it posted here!!

Did that, and he sadi that he was testing the market by getting a black one and seeing how it sold, i asked him if any silvers were available and he replied no not yet but he will gladly put a couple on his next order (from the states), his next order should be withing the next week. I asked him to drop me an email as soon as he got the silver ones in stock.

The UK eBay seller described above is probably what i will go for. Its £35 which is a bit steep but i really REALLY want one of them. Do you think it is justified by a such a price tag or not.

Well, im still awiting for your views on £35 being too much for such a trivial thing but i think i am gonna get it anyway, as soon as my eBay seller guy comes up with the stock.
