Removal of Windows Media Center

HELP!! Can anybody tell me how to get rid of the Windows Media Center program? I have no use for it and it interferes with Adobe Reader. When I click on a .pdf file, WMC comes up and I can not get rid of it, or change it to read an .pdf file.
It is in a directory ehome in the Widows directory, but you require permission of some outfit to remove it.
I hate it if a Computer Program designer forces you to use a program for which you do not have any use for.
BTW I am running Windows 7 Ultimate

Your problem is you screwed up the file associations. Right click the PDF, select Open With, and choose Adobe Reader.

There is no need to get rid of it. All you need to do is change the file association for pdf. click start, click on default programs, click on associate a file type or protocol with a program. When the extensions load, find pdf and highlight it and click on change program, change the program so that it opens with adobe reader.

I tried the right clicking method, did not work. WMC would come up all the time; it did not give me any choice.
In the mean time, I used the advice of DMGrier, and used it to get rid of WMC more permanently as I wanted. I can always activate it again if I feel a need for it.
Thanks for your help, fellows!
