Remove a CPU fan?

How do I remove intel's original ball bearing fan for socket 478 pentium 4 (one with the 2 gray levers on top)? My friend installed it so I'm clueless on how to take it out. I flip the the levers (so its not 'secured') then pull but it doesnt come out. I found somewhere that said what to do (http://www.computing.net/hardware/wwwboard/forum/34557.html) But I'm not sure about this so I've come here. Anyone have any ideas if this is correct or if someone can provide a step by step on how to do it?
 
You can do what he said, or just put your finger on the plastic latches, and push down and out. Its kinda confusing to explain.

It worked, Thanks alot. But it turns out my new fan actually made the temperature go higher. -_- Thanks again.
