Removed partition - half now unallocated

I removed a partition as I had filled up the half of my hard drive allocated to 'c'.
Now the other half of my hard drive is 'unallocated' disc space.
How do I get it back - any ideas peeps?

You didn't remove the partition that had important data on it did you?

You should be able to get it back by going to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > Then format the unallocated space to a new partition.

No, there was nothing on it - just didn't want it anymore!
I have managed to reinstate it but I want to make it smaller so I'm gonna try to find some free software.
Saying that - I have found some 'torrent' software but my pc can't find a way to open it - what's that about?

It's illegal to "torrent" for software that you actually have to pay for. You won't get any help from us, its against forum rules.

Who said anything about software you have to pay for? I'm trying to find some free-to-use legal software. If I can't find any I'll buy some.
Anyone know of any legal 'freeware'?
