removing a hard drive

I am having trouble removing my hard drive from my dell dimension 2400. The little screws to take off the metal holder seem to be under the ledge of the front of the tower. has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?

Most likely the way to go about that would be in removing the front face plate on the case itself to give you access. But being plastic and having plastic locking tabs that has to be done with real care. Dell has a tency to make their cases a little awkward for the home user to service. Keep that in mind. You will find most here are simply going about building their own when going to upgrade at some point. But use care there if you try that.

Sometimes companies place metal hinges along the insides of the internal 3.5 bays to secure the slots. Try removing the hinges. That happen to my brothers Emachine
