Removing Norton

I am helping a friend remove Norton's and replacing it with Avast (they have Win 7). Is this file still valid for properly removing it? Also, should I also use the Uninstall feature in Windows? Thanks

Don't download it from some random Mediafire page. Get the official one from Symantec.

Once you run this you do not need to do anything else. It will take care of everything.
