The information at the link there...
APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
  • Microsoft Windows 98 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
  • Microsoft Windows 95
not XP or Vista apparently. For XP and Vista, http://mintywhite.com/tech/xp/remove-entries-from-the-addremove-programs-list/

That will also provide a link for those seeing their first registry edit on how the registry itself works and how to perform an edit and not simply make a mess of things.

Here I simply right click on the remaining item if seen following the use of the uninstaller to see it removed from the list. Windows will prompt asking if you want it removed. That's if the program's uninstaller was already used but still seen listed in the add/remove in XP or now Programs+Features for Vista.

Do yourself a favor by not listening to pc_eye and just download c_cleaner. It has tool that will remove the programs entries that you have previously deleted.
