well as some of you may have read, i managed to bust my own card the other day while installing a new cooler on it.
I started looking it over and noticed that one of the little capacitor "thingies" way very loose compared to the others and had actually come loose from its connection....im thinking this happened when i was removing the stock cooler.
I had a friend solder the connection back together, but the capacitor is still much looser than the others of the same type.
Do you think theres any way this could be repaired? Or is the card simply DOA.
along those same lines, ive been out of the PC loop for a bit, so whats probably the best bang for the buck card in the 150-200 dollar range?
I noticed the X800 XLs are going for about 160, so i might just grab another one of those as this one had never let me down except for overheating. Any other recommendations?

Hehe... I'm a little iffy about repairing computer parts, but I know I could of repaired my 7800GT when it broke. Just a capaciter breaking off isn't that big of a deal to replace/resolder. However, if it's under warrenty, I wouldn't touch it.
