Replace C Drive

I am thinking about replacing my old C Drive with a new C Drive. Besides the obvious backing up of files and reinstalling programs onto new drive, are there any issues/problems with doing something like this?
Has anyone done this?
 
There should be no issues. Just do as you have said and heard: Back up all data.
