Replace mouse with gamepad?

I have a DELL computer that I use strictly for gaming, and an Xbox controller pluuged into it. I keep the computer connected to my TV, next to my DVD player, Cable box, etc. I have to use the mouse to navigate to whatever game it is I want to play. Is there a driver that will allow me to operate my mouse's pointer and buttons, using the joystick and buttons of my gamepad? This way, all I would need to get to my game and play it would be the gamepad itself. Any ideas?

I dont think so, but if you didn't already get a wireless mouse...it'll make it better fromplaying with your TV so you can be further bak, and not to mention cord free.
