The only drivers needed are for the sata controllers on the main board itself which seem to be already installed as part of the software disk for the board. Or the chipset allowed the Windows installer(XP not Vista) to readily detect and copy the setup files needed to the drive. Hard drives themselves don't need drivers at this point in time while boards and addon controller cards do.
