replaced mobo ??

What are the rest of your specs?

The problem sounds like a graphics card fault. if you use an add-in card and you replaced the mobo that won't do anything...
 
Same setup as old mobo. on board graphics with 1/2 gig of ram, just realized no bios beep on startup, removed and reseated ram several times, still the same. removed ram, beeps on post, cleaned ram contacts with eraser tried all slots still no beep on post, all wires checked to be ok.

yea check the ram..put another one in if your have extra lying around...if not make sure your HD is plugged in....and if its not the ram or HD..and this will sound dumb...replace the cables inside...i one time spent 2 hours swapping parts out on one of my rigs to find out the problem was the HD cable...so check your cables too :D
