I have a sony vaio vgn-c290 laptop which contains a Li-ion vgp-bps2c 11.1/5200mAH battery. What third party batteries could I use to replace this dead battery? And if you dont mind please explain what information was needed to find a usable substitute.
Of course I think i once saw somewhere where the the battery case was opened up and then new li-ion batteries were put in. Total cost being only a small fraction of buying a new battery. Now thats an interesting option.
