Replacing a power supply

My power supply had overheated and broke down recently.I had replaced it with a new one , but I wonder is there any configuration or system changing since the installation of new power supply ?

I've a feeling that since its POWER supply, it's ONLY to do with power & NOT the data, since your PC's data is stored in motherboard (BIOS chip, etc.) & hard-drive, so there's NO configuration that needs doing.
