Replacing AMD with Nvidia. Driver question.

I'll be removing my ATI Radeon HD 5450 video card and replacing it with a GeForce GTS 450.
What procedure should I use to change the cards and drivers?

Basically before removing your old card, go into add/remove programs and uninstall the ati driver software. Then shut down and remove the card, insert the new one and boot up, install the latest drivers for the card from Nvidia's website.

I'd download and run driver sweeper to fully uninstall the drivers before installing the new ones. Just using add/remove programs can, and does, leave behind residue that can, and often does, interfere with the other card. You can download driver sweeper here:

I was tring to think the name of that program when I posted that. I figured someone would post it after the fact.
