Replacing heatsink/fan in 6800 Ultra???

I've bin busy replacing fans left right and center to reduce noise levels, and now the noisiest thing in the case is my graphics card.

Is there any way to replace the fan (and if nessecary the heatsink) in place of a quieter model? Or is whole lot one unit that must not be disturbed?

its easy enough to change the hsf on video cards, the only bump in the road is finding a new one that fits (not that hard really)

How would I go about doing that? Is there a "socket no." type system for gpu's?

basically on the vga cooler it will say 'for radeon 9800 series cards,' 'fits geforce 6 series' or something along those lines take a look at this zalman, it clearly says what cards it will fit on http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/view.asp?idx=149&code=013
any cooler you buy should have compatibility labeled clearly
