Replacing my power supply~questions

I have a Dell Inspiron 620 mini tower with an i3 processor @ 3.3GHz and 4 GB of ram. It also has only the built in Intel HD Graphics 2000.
It's pretty much a minimalistic computer with no add on stuff and a 300w watt factory power supply.
I loaded a flight simulator on my computer and the built in Intel HD Graphics are OK but they could be better so I thought I would add on a Nvidia GT 620 graphics card but I see that they want a minimum PS of 350 watts.
So I thought when I ordered the card from Newegg that I would check and make sure I knew what I was doing in ordering the PS from them.
I was looking at PS ratings around 400-550 watts just to give me some extra.
So the customer service rep tells me that the PS may be proprietary and to call Dell for advice??
I am reluctant to order a graphics card without replacing the power supply.
I cannot believe that somebody does not make a replacement power supply besides dell for my computer.
I have no idea what to even look for.

I did find this information in another forum but I don't know if it's correct or not.

"The Dell Inspiron 620 Mini Tower can use most generic standard ATX power supply units, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.

Note: You require a power supply with four SATA power connectors.

Check out the Corsair/Antec brands of power supplies."

Any help is appreciated.

Really? The 620 won't beat out the built in Intel HD Graphics 2000?
So what would you recommend? My monitor is the standard Dell IN2030 with a VGA connector is all.
If that's true maybe I will just put up with what I have.
It's just not worth spending a fortune to get better graphics on this flight simulator.

You will need about a $100 card to play flight simulators and then a good 500 watt power supply.
