Replacing Windows Media Player

Definetely VLC media player.
Other players such as BSplayer or Media Player Classic and so on will install their codecs in Windows and mess everything up and later you might have problems with your own codecs such as Xvid, not to mention if you try to get rid of all the codecs that those players installed. It's a pain in the ass. Also if you use Windows Movie Maker,it might be crashing often because of all those codecs written in the Windows registry.

VLC media player does this a better way and a simple install/uninstall of the VLC will insert/remove all of it's codecs and you will never have problems with your own codecs and other external programs which use your codecs such as Windows Movie Maker.

Besides...VLC plays everything lol and it has TONS of options if you enable the view of ALL options.

I agree on VLC Media Player and I also highly recommend Media Player Classic.

I use VLC player for both.

This is so true, the downside is that it has a stupid Traffic Cone as a desktop shortcut.

Apart from that it's wicked.
