Hi everyone....

Hope someone can help

iv got a machine,

Gigabyte 7VT600-L Motherboard
AMD 2500+
120 GB HDD
400W Power Pack
256MB RAM
64MB ATI GRAPHICS
CD-RW
ONBOARD SOUND
WINDOWS XP

For some reason im unable to track down, the machine resets itself at random times, i heard a faint click noise last time but thats all it does. No error messages in windows, and the BIOS doesn't give any warning beeps.

The system reboots on its own and works fine again till it randomly does it again.

Anyone got any ideas what it might be...

This can occasionally happen if you confuse your pc and it crashes.
"Confuse" eh? Just when I thought that your statement that you can track every aircraft in the world (or at least UK) was silly.... just a pointer for ya: computer's arent sentient (yet).

Check memory (do extended memory test at bootup)... since it's an AMD system I suspect it's a heat problem and the mobo is kicking in to deal with the heat :)
