Resetting registry, possible? Windows 7

Once I used a program to change things in the registry to lower ms in online games and I wanted to change it back again now so I am wondering is it possible to reset the registry to default?

Try start/accessories/system tools/system restore to another date.

The program should have asked you to create a backup of the Registry before tweaking it, and if it didn't, you should have made one yourself.

He may be right. then again this may solve your problem as mentioned.

goto the dos prompt then reg restore /?

(it does mention you you have to create the file in the 1st place.

it was not like that with other operating systems. but check it out.
