I've been getting this resolution problem with my video card. I just bought a GTX 285 and my normal resolution is 1440x900 which after installing the drivers does not work at all. I've tried a couple of different methods and it still doesn't work. I get 1300 and the it jumps to 1600. What can I do?

yes.

800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1280x720
1280x768
1280x960
1280x1024
1360x768
1600x900
1600x1024
1600x1200

My monitor resolution is 1440x900 and when I install the drivers, it doesn not show up.

my nvidia control panel allows me to make custom resolutions. you should try that. also when you are in display properties does it say "default monitor" or the name of your monitor? perhaps you need to download a monitor driver. also make sure you have the correct service packs for your drivers.

This always happens, lol, its annoying! I just kept messing around install any monitor drivers you can find and restart the computer, etc..

Are you sure your native res isn't 1600 x 1200? What card did you have before this upgrade? It may not have been capable of providing the high resolution your monitor has.

I had an XFX 9800 GTX+. I just reinstalled Windows 7 because I was having problems and I got the resolution that I wanted: 1440x900, but then I installed the driver for the GTX 285 and it happened again where the resolutions get messed up and I can't choose the one that I need.
