resolution problems

hey I just got a 20" acer al2032w, and it will not set to its native resolution, everytime I try to set it it makes my computer screen go crazy...I was woundering if any of you know what the problem is, and or if you know what I could do to fix this.....thanks
 
They covered that in the 101? Enywho I think it is because your video card cant go up that high. What video card do you have and what do you have it set at now?
 
Not knowing the video hardware makes it rather difficult to answer, or the drivers used for that matter.

Btw go crazy?
