Restart from Windows Media Player

Here's an odd problem... OK, I just slipped and pressed play on my keyboard. When I have Media Player Classic up, it controls it, but when I did this, it brought up Windows Media Player I had a CD with some of my video files on it. It played about 2 seconds of one of the videos, then my machine reset. It did this twice. It has NEVER done this when I used Media Player Classic. I don't plan to switch, but I do plan to use WMP for some online content and would like to be sure it's not going to reset on me again..

The file it tried to play was a fairly large WMV(720x480x3FPS and about 30 mintues long)

Is that 3 or 30 fps? And I have never had a problem with WMP because of the length of the movie, usually the spyware stuff that Microsoft imbedded in the program causes more problems ;).

The only other thing I can think of is the fact that you were accessing the file from the CD and could be a compatibility problem between WMP and the CD drive...

*shrugs* I donno. I'll try it again, but I don't like doing it. When my comp restarts, the HDs spin down too...not like just clicking restart.

And yes, I meant 30FPS. I know legnth normally has nothing to do with it, just suggesting that it was a rather large file.
