For the past couple of morning I have noticed that my computer restarts itself at night. i was wondering if anybody could tell me why.

could be set to (with a clock)

somewhere in control panel lol, if i was more familiar with windows i may be able to tell you where.

Are you sure it is restarting? I mean do you have to type your password back in? If not it could be hibernating or power saving mode or system stand by or something! Go to control panel and then power options and see if any of those items are turned on, if not it may also be some kind of virus, run the steps in the sticky under the computer security section, if all that fails to resolve your issue post back we may have to dig alittle deeper!

What icons are no longer in the system tray? Do you have a log on pass word set up? If not set one up and if you have to log on in the morning then yes for sure your computer is restarting! And another thing are you useing dial up or broadband?
