I need help!

Everytime i play a game "ANY" game maybe 10-30min into it my comp restarts!

IM really upset due to i just got my New psu thinking that this problem would stop "this was an issue when i had my old PSU also" but guess what it is still going on...

I ran Prime95 and Memetest overnight and i had no errors at all.. Please someone give me some help...

Im thinking it could be my video cards overheating i dunno... please somone

im upset due to i just got all the parts i wanted and cant even game because this crap happens :(

i was having a similar problem, was my graphics card overheating. Make sure (if you have one) that the fan on your vid card is working properly.

Sounds like something overheating, either your video card or your processor. I'd check the temps on both. Motherboard Monitor is quite good for CPU temps, while your graphics card's driver may include a temperature monitor for it. What CPU & Video card do you have?

my cpu runs at 37idel and about 45load

as for my video card when im playing a game and ALT TAP out and go to check it its at 70-77c and thats when i alt tap out so i dont know what its running at in intense gaming

i hope its not a motherbored problem and just my video cards

...70-77c in game play is rather warm, invest in either a PCI fan or a heatsink for you gfx card

Hmmm... none of you mentioned a possible PSU problem. It could, under high load, cause the PC to restart and he does have SLI with two 6800Gts. 77 Celsisus, although on the hot side, is still fine and should not, in my opinion cause these restarts.

JAN :D

I doubt its a PSU problem because he just bought a PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI.

The graphic card(s) does seem to hot. Were these new ones that you got RMAd after your watercooling incident or are they the same ones?

try lowering your overclock on the graphics card, I usually get 70C tops on my x800pro when playing so 77C might be a bit much for your card but I dont know the heat threshold for a 6800GT so maybe, maybe not. Try taking one GFX card out and disabling SLi, this would relieve any power strain on the PSU and could fix your problem, I'm not saying leave it out, just take one out temporarily to see if that fixes anything.

yea def try lowering the clock.....also are your video drivers up to date? check the nvidia website as well as your motherboards website for possible bios updates....ive seen people with similar problems and in the end there was just an update that fixed the problem. if thats not the issue then its probably the clock speed. check your video settings in your bios too. i got a feelin its not a hardware issue as opposed to a clock or bios/driver issue

p.s.....im not too familiar with windows x64 but what i do know of it is that its fairly new and there maybe some bugs...especially with newer technology like SLI....also run some video benchmarking tests such as 3dmark on high settings repeatadly and see if it restarts then too

did that fix the prob or is it still goin on? also did ya check your mobos website for bios/chipset updates?

yup it is still happening...and for some reason i cant flash my bios to the update version because winflash wont work i dont know y

I'd say it's either restarting because your power source isn't powerful enough (which it apparently is), or Norton is on. Norton can be a PAIN IN THE ASS - well, just sometimes. Turn it off when your playing games, and see if that helps.

My computer restarts after 10-30 minutes aswell. I don't overclock anything. I just got the computer. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH MY NEW COMPUTER? Gfx card at 42C, mobo at 46C, and ram at 32C.
